SUPPLY CHAIN CONSULTANT - LEUVEN (BELGIUM) - PERMANENT POSITION
We’re currently recruiting a forward-thinking Supply Chain Consultant to join our team and play a pivotal role in transforming how we source, plan, and deliver.
In this role, you’ll act as a strategic advisor and hands-on problem solver, working across all stages of the supply chain—from procurement and inventory optimization to demand forecasting and process design.
You'll engage with key stakeholders across operations, finance, and commercial teams to drive alignment and efficiency through data-driven insights and best practices.

Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement effective procurement strategies to support cost-efficient and timely sourcing.
* Evaluate supplier performance, lead contract negotiations, and manage supplier relationships.
* Optimize stock levels through inventory planning, control methods, and forecasting analysis.
* Define and monitor key inventory KPIs including accuracy, service levels, and turnover.
* Lead the demand planning process by collaborating with sales, marketing, and finance teams.
* Analyze historical data and market trends to drive accurate forecasting.
* Facilitate the S&OP process, ensuring alignment between demand forecasts and supply capabilities.
* Provide insights and scenario planning to support decision-making and risk mitigation.
* Assess, design, and optimize supply chain workflows across procurement, planning, logistics, and fulfillment.
* Identify process inefficiencies and recommend continuous improvement initiatives.
* Support digital transformation efforts and system enhancements across the supply chain.
* Standardize documentation and reporting practices for enhanced visibility and control.
* Ensure all supply chain operations comply with internal policies and external regulatory requirements.
* Conduct compliance audits, risk assessments, and supplier due diligence.
* Develop and implement controls to mitigate supply chain risks and maintain data integrity.
* Stay informed of changes in regulatory frameworks and ensure proactive alignment.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
* Minimum of 5 years of experience in supply chain roles, with a strong focus on cross-functional collaboration.
* In-depth understanding of supply chain processes including purchasing, planning, logistics, and compliance.
* Proficiency in supply chain software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and advanced Excel or analytics tools.
* Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
