Hauptaufgaben
As an Accounting Technician, you will serve the as assistant to the Chief of Accounting Section, for the BENELUX Finance Office. You will be responsible for the analysis, reconciliation, control and correction to financial documents, reports and automated listings.
You will perform the following duties:
â Provide detailed guidance and training to subordinates on information contained in applicable laws, regulations, interim regulatory changes and frequent policy and technical messages.
â Develop and operate the accounting manager's internal control program (MICP) to ensure the integrity, propriety, accuracy, and timeliness of the organization's accounting program.
â Perform internal control functions by monitoring the check recertification program and deposits in transit that includes monthly coordination and reconciliations.
â Responsible for designing, developing, implementing, modifying and managing the programs and procedures related to the Finance Office accountability.
â Control, review, and mail original payment vouchers
â Maintain the finance office's cash accountability.
â Respond to audit reports problems identified by auditors and resolves input edit errors.
â Initiate instruction for nonâroutine or complex assignments or to clarify published guidelines.

At grade BA 05
1. EXPERIENCE
Applicants must demonstrate at least one year of creditable experience that is at least equivalent to the next lower grade level (BA 04). Creditable experience is progressively responsible clerical, office, or other work that indicates ability to acquire the particular knowledge and skills needed to perform the duties of the
position to be filled.
2. SUBSTITUTION OF EDUCATION FOR EXPERIENCE
A High Secondary School diploma degree is qualifying at the BA-05 level.
At grade BA 06
1. EXPERIENCE
Applicants must demonstrate at least one year of experience in the same or a similar line of work as the job for which considered. The experience must demonstrate that the applicant possesses the particular knowledge, skills and abilities required for the position, as described in the last section of this announcement. The predominant experience must have been gained at a comparable level of difficulty one level below the position to be filled (BA05)
2. SUBSTITUTION OF EDUCATION FOR EXPERIENCE:
A Bachelor degree successfully completed in a related field ("Bachelier en Comptabilite", "Bachelier en Expertise Comptable et Fiscal", "Bachelier en Sciences de Gestion",â¦) is qualifying at the BA-06 level.
At grade BA 07

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSA's)
At grade BA 05:
- Ability to use various automated programs and use Microsoft Office programs (i.e. Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, etc.) to type letters, documents, reports and correspondence.
- Clerical and administrative experience to perform a wide variety of support work.
- Ability to prepare and maintain files.
- Ability to communicate both orally and in writing in French and English.
In addition to the KSAs at the BA-05, qualifying for the BA-06:
- Ability to review accounting documents for completeness and accuracy and process the requests.
- Analytical skill to collect, extract and organize data for reports.
- Knowledge of accounting procedures and techniques
- Knowledge of accounting systems and terminology
In addition to the KSAs at the BA-05 and BA-06, qualifying for the BA-07:
- Ability to respond to audit reports and resolve issues.
- Skills in developing, implementing, modifying and managing the programs and procedures related to organization accountability.
- Knowledge of various accounting regulations, operations, procedures, laws and requirements to ensure compliance, resolve issues, discrepancies, provide advice and recommend action.

The 266th Finance Center provides finance and accounting services while enhancing capability for the combatant commander through cash management, military pay, contracting support and accountability on the battlefield.

- Permanent, full-time (38 hours/week)

- Salary:
From 3,281.17 EUR gross/month at BA 05
From 3,596.16 EUR gross/month at BA 06
From 3,941.04 EUR gross/month at BA 07
This is a developmental position/entry trainee level position leading to the full performance level (BAâ07). At management's request, the incumbent may be nonâcompetitively promoted to the next grade level, provided that he/she has completed the required training and meets all regulatory and qualification
requirements.
The selectee may be required to successfully complete the training "Financial Management level 1" within two years of appointment.
Employee may be subject to termination if certification requirements are not met.
