We are looking for a highly motivated Embedded Software Engineer to join our eDrive project team. The primary focus of this role is to analyze customer software requirements, coordinate with suppliers, and ensure the successful implementation and validation of embedded software systems. You will play a key role in managing supplier relationships, ensuring that their deliveries meet our technical expectations, project timelines, and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
• Customer Requirements Analysis:
o Review and analyze customer specifications and requirements for embedded software related to eDrive systems.
o Translate customer needs into clear technical requirements for suppliers.
• Supplier Management:
o Act as the main technical point of contact with software suppliers.
o Follow up with suppliers on the implementation of embedded software solutions, ensuring alignment with customer requirements and project objectives.
o Monitor supplier performance and ensure timely delivery of software modules and updates.
o Conduct regular meetings with suppliers to review progress, address issues, and implement corrective actions as necessary.
o Ensure software deliveries are compliant with automotive standards, functional safety (ISO 26262), and cybersecurity (ISO/SAE 21434).
• Implementation and Validation:
o Oversee and validate the integration of embedded software within the eDrive system, ensuring functionality and compatibility.
o Collaborate with the validation team to define test plans, review test results, and ensure all software functions are properly tested.
o Assist in resolving issues during the testing and validation phases, ensuring that defects are identified, documented, and addressed.
• Technical Documentation:
o Develop and maintain technical documentation, including requirement specifications, design documents, and validation reports.
o Ensure that all software development activities are accurately documented to support future development and compliance needs.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration:
o Work closely with internal teams such as hardware engineers, system architects, and project managers to ensure a smooth integration of embedded software.
Contribute to internal design reviews and provide feedback to enhance software quality and performance
Profile / Requirements :
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Embedded Systems, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in embedded software development, preferably within the automotive industry.
• Strong understanding of embedded software design, coding, and validation processes.
• Experience with automotive communication protocols (e.g., CAN, LIN) and standards (e.g., AUTOSAR).
• Experience in managing external suppliers and working with global teams is mandatory
• Familiarity with functional safety (ISO 26262) and cybersecurity (ISO/SAE 21434) standards is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively manage supplier relationships.
