Senior R&D Automation Software Engineer - Life Sciences Opportunity in Belgium
Our client, a global leader in life sciences technology, is seeking a talented Senior R&D Automation Software Engineer to join their innovative team in Hoegaarden, Belgium (less than an hour from Brussels).

Role Overview
In this position, you will develop sophisticated automation solutions for life-changing therapeutics, working with cutting-edge technology in a regulated environment. You'll be responsible for creating PLC/HMI software that advances future therapeutics from discovery to delivery while ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Key Responsibilities
* Design and develop new PLC and HMI software based on client requirements
* Create wiring diagrams and pneumatic systems using Eplan Tools
* Select components and perform power calculations for system designs
* Build prototype panels with appropriate certifications (BA5)
* Develop and review automation requirements and technical documentation
* Implement verification processes and cybersecurity measures
* Collaborate with global cross-functional teams
Requirements
* Bachelor's degree in Automation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field (Master's preferred)
* Strong experience with Siemens TIA Portal and PCS7 platforms
* Proficiency with Eplan Tools for electrical and pneumatic system design
* Knowledge of relevant standards including IEC-61010, IEC-60204-1, IEC-61326-1
* Experience with regulatory standards such as GAMP5, 21CFR11, ISA-88, IEC-62443
* Understanding of emerging technologies (AI, MTP)
* Strong communication skills and ability to work in a global team environment
* Experience in regulated industries
