Head of Sales - Belgium
What you do
Reporting to the Markets/Sales leadership for the Benelux, the Head of Sales Belgium plays a key strategic leadership role in managing the sales and distribution of our Belgium company. This role will be based in Belgium
and will be responsible to manage our Belgium sales team and contribute to bringing new business while ensuring deals renewals on the Belgium market:
Sales and Distribution Strategy;
Development and Monitoring of Sales Plans and Multi-Channel Activities;
Account and Relationship Management ;
Sales and Distribution Strategy
Strategic management of the end to end sales and distribution functions in the Belgium market
Work with key executives and Market Management to identify new distribution channels and sales opportunities
Identify potential opportunities for expanding services to existing and new clients
Network regularly for business growth opportunities
Development and Monitoring of Sales Plans
Oversee portfolio prospecting in order to ensure the viability of sales campaigns and portfolio growth remains in line with business strategy and targets
Ensure the delivery of agreed sales revenue outcomes for the business
Work with sales team to understand trends and determine sales optimization opportunities
Accounts and Relationship Management
Maintain regular contact with clients to ensure satisfaction in product offerings, claims management, and sales and support services
Able to negotiate and influence with consideration towards strategic objectives and reputation objectives
Collaborate closely with Operations and other functions to ensure claims and client experiences appropriately support clients' needs
Engage stakeholders in projects that affect their areas
Competitor Intelligence
Keep abreast of best practice Sales, eCommerce and industry initiatives to ensure the company stays competitive
Uses networks to effectively stay attuned with market and competitor intelligence
Financial Management & Business Planning
Responsible for the development of significant revenue generating activity
Ensuring profitability of pricing and tenders so that financial targets are met
Manage the budget for own area
Provide Sales and pipeline reports
Leadership & Supervision
Manage team performance individually and as a group
Provides regular coaching, guidance and support to all team members to ensure their growth and ongoing engagement
What you bring
Tertiary Qualifications in business, Commerce or related disciplines
Significant experience in a Senior Sales Management role in the relevant market and/or in relevant industries, such as Travel, Automotive, Insurance, Services, etc.)
Proven success in meeting significant sales revenue targets, and delivering profitable growth and previous successulf experience in a business development role.
Demonstrated evidence of the development and implementation of strategy, particularly relating to sales and distribution
Strong ability to analyze information to identify problems and develop appropriate solutions
Demonstrates ability to think strategically, driving commercial opportunities
Able to motivate a sales team to achieve stretch targets with strong engagement
Strong ability to influence and build effective relationships at all levels of the business and with external clients
Experience in collaborating with multiple stakeholders and broad organization influencing skills in complex organizational structures
Fluent in English and French is a key requirement. Dutch language would be an added value.
