For this position, you will be working with one of our high-profile clients from the European institutions.
Your Role
* Definition of network architectures and designs that reflect the organization’s strategies and goals featuring technology selections such as SDWAN, WAN/LAN, VPN, IPSEC, MPLS, IPV6, Routing protocols (BGP, OSPF,…), Datacenter Switching, …
* Definition of a large scale wide area network design to ensure a secure, high-performance and resilient network connectivity.
* Definition of multicloud and hybrid cloud access design for seamless integration and scalability across diverse cloud environments.
* Definition of the architecture and design of a unified platform that integrates remote access with identity and access management, delivering robust, secure, and scalable connectivity in alignment with strategic objectives.
* Definition of the architecture and design of IP transit and peering connectivity that aligns with the network infrastructure’s strategic vision and objectives, ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and resilience.
* Preparation of workshop and technical documentation for all the stakeholders ( project plans, test plans, migration plans, configuration guidelines, presentations, etc)
* Management of the vendors and service providers relationships, both technical and leadership, ensuring compliance with service level agreements (SLAs) for critical infrastructure components, communicate design best practices and pushing the envelope of existing technology.
* Management of the network infrastructure testing and migrations plans with all the stakeholders (Taxud, service providers, National administrations).
* Monitoring & Troubleshooting follow-up of the exchange platform operational incidents, problems and changes with the TAXUD’s Incident Managers and Operational contractors acting as technical support in crisis management situations.
* Providing advice, guidance, consultancy and assistance to the responsible official(s), specifically in Networking and Network security while keeping a constant watch on technological development.
* Development and maintenance of the network infrastructure aligned with the organization's strategic goals and objectives, overseeing the implementation, and continuous upgrade of network components and feature enhancements.
* Coordination and review of integration efforts for project and program strategies to ensure alignment with business strategies, key drivers, and management priorities.
* Coordination and review of initiatives to identify strategies for operational improvements.
* Identifying and reporting of cost-reduction opportunities.
* Report on progress and outcomes related to the implementation of the architectures and designs
* Create and implement a business vision and multi-year plan
* Assistance in evaluating systems to identify discrepancies or vulnerabilities
* Assistance in providing guidance on business architecture and systems processing to support strategic decision-making.
Who We Think You Are
* Excellent knowledge on SDWAN solutions in general with a particular focus on Cisco SDWAN solution.
* Excellent knowledge on LAN/WAN network Architectures and technologies, routing and switching, IPV6, DNS, VPN, MPLS, Traffic engineering and QoS.
* Excellent knowledge on designing, monitoring and optimizing WAN networks for large scale enterprises and/or service providers and implementing carrier ethernet technologies (Adva, Ciena, RAD, OneAccess, …).
* Excellent knowledge on encryption technologies across Layers 1, 2, and 3 (IPSEC, MACSEC, AES GCM 256)
* Excellent knowledge on multicloud and hybrid cloud access architecture and design solutions and related microservices and technologies.
* Good knowledge on major network infrastructure deployment and governance SDN solutions (Cisco ACI, Juniper Apstra, Arista Cloudvision).
* Good knowledge of Enterprise Architecture in the Domains of:
* Business Architecture: business processes, organizational structures, and governance.
* Data Architecture: data models, data flows, and storage strategies
* Application Architecture: Structures software applications and their interactions
* Technology Architecture: IT infrastructure, networks, and platforms
* Excellent knowledge on datacenter interconnect solutions and optical design (DWDM, CWDM, ROADM, Optical Fibers, transceivers, transponders, OSA, OTDR, …).
* Excellent knowledge of datacenter switching architecture design, capacity planning solutions and technologies (Three-Tier, Spine-Leaf, Mesh, Collapsed Core, EVPN, VXLAN, etc.) with proven track records of designing large scale enterprises and/or service providers datacentres.
* Excellent knowledge in diagnosing, troubleshooting, and resolving network and software issues within a multivendor infrastructure, ensuring compliance with technology standards.
* Excellent knowledge on security, firewalls (FW), Next-Generation Firewalls (NGFWs), Deep Packet Inspection (DPI), Intrusion Prevention Systems (IPS), and DDoS mitigation technologies.
* Implementing network security best practices (e.g., Zero Trust, Least Privilege,…).
* Understanding TLS/SSL encryption and IAM roles for networking components.
* Excellent knowledge of IP transit, peering, IXP and market trends in global internet connectivity landscape.
* Excellent knowledge and Proven track record of technical leadership in third-level support, success in autonomously and/or collaboratively driving complex issues to resolution, and a “security first” mindset.
