What You Can Expect Analyze and compare biological and NGS (Next Generation Sequencing) data, drawing conclusions from your analyses and effectively communicating results, interpretations, and recommendations to non technical audiences. Provide expert guidance to our project partners on experimental planning, data collection, and processing. Collaborate closely with various teams within the Agricultural Solutions organization, including Seeds & Traits, Crop Protection, and Vegetable Seeds. Write and optimize code for data processing, statistical analysis, and data visualization. Work collaboratively to develop workflows within the Computational Biology team, while also independently creating custom scripts. Proactively manage bioinformatics projects and engage closely with stakeholders to ensure that bioinformatics activities align with business objectives. Utilize excellent communication and organizational skills to thrive in a highly collaborative global environment, engaging frequently with team members and project stakeholders, including biologists and researchers. Stay current with cutting edge bioinformatics techniques and advocate for the integration of innovative technologies into existing workflows. What You Offer A PhD in Bioinformatics or a related field. A minimum of 4 years of experience in coding for the processing and analysis of NGS (Next Generation Sequencing) and biological data. Proficiency in multiple programming languages (e.g., Python, R, and shell scripting). Experience with bioinformatics tools and databases. Familiarity with version control systems, such as Git. Preferred experience in developing bioinformatics workflows using Snakemake and working within HPC (High Performance Computing) environments. Strong verbal and written communication skills in English, with the ability to effectively engage with diverse audiences. Project management experience, with the capability to coordinate and deliver multiple projects simultaneously. A strong background in biology, enabling you to contribute effectively to experimental planning.
