Job Description
ARHS Digital is looking for an Azure Technical Data Architect profile to increase the capacity of the Data Management team of one of its clients, a key player in the insurance industry.
The Data Management team manages the DWH and the Data Lake of the company and is responsible for the data management programme & tooling. Architecture, design & implementation are managed within the team.
Technical environment: Azure ADLS gen 2, Synapse serverless (and dedicated pool), Data Factory/Data Flow as ETL, DataBricks/PySpark to support the framework.
Role & Responsibilities
2. Analytics platform: Improving and completing Corporate Center data analytics platforms, by defining the architecture and documenting it, following up on the technical implementation, managing exceptions…
3. Data Platforms evolution: addressing items/capabilities of the technical backlog or coming from the technology watch to improve and complete the current data platforms. Proposing solutions, validating them with other architects (Cloud, Security…). Presenting solutions in IT Architecture Board, following-up the implementation and taking part in the implementation to make sure they are in line with the expectations.
4. Analytics Business projects: Proposing solutions, validating them with other architects (Cloud, Security…). Presenting solutions in IT Architecture Board, following-up the implementation and taking part in the implementation to make sure they are in line with the expectations.
5. Scan market for available tools and propose options depending on requirements and company standards (technology watch)
6. Seeking/proposing automation tools and technical process improvements
7. Participating in PaaS governance improvement
8. Coaching/supporting internal resources
9. Documentation of the architecture, guidelines and principles
10. Providing guidance on some technologies like Synapse link, MS Purview, Azure event streaming…,
Qualifications
Your Profile
11. Degree in computer science or equivalent by experience.
12. Good Communication skills in English. Fluent in French or Dutch and basic knowledge of the other
13. Must work well independently, and in a collaborative team environment

19. Experience within Insurance or financial domain would be considered an asset

28. Being aware of best practices, trends & evolutions of the IT industry and most particularly Data Analytics environments/systems
29. Knowledge about Data Management: metadata management, lineage, data quality principles…
30. Database projects in Visual Studio
31. Log Analytics
32. Shared Datasets / Tabular Models.
33. Database modelling via modelling tools such as Erwin or Visio
34. Architecture, functional & technical analysis on database, ETL & BI solutions
35. Understanding of best practices for data warehousing, ETL & BI solutions
36. Ability to interact with Business Owners and gather business requirements
37. Ability to translate Business Requirements into functional & technical requirements
38. Experience on projects with different technology stacks, integration aspects would be considered an asset
39. Knowledge about/experience in DWH running in Azure environment would be considered an asset
40. Knowledge about dashboarding, Power BI would be considered an asset
