As a Customer Services Representative, you play an important role within the business unit for order and logistics management planning for customers.
This position is primarily responsible for the administration of the sales order process, sometimes with production planning based on customer’s forecast input.
Responsibilities
* You will process the internal system related to quotation control, budget control, etc. You enter and acknowledge purchase orders for group companies at overseas locations. You manage customer orders into the local plant in Gent. You plan appropriate order quantities towards production sites based on forecasts from customers.
* You will update and maintain delivery/shipment schedules and actively manage deferred shipments from the original schedule. You will manage inventory in the external warehouse based on customer’s forecast.
* You monitor production status and communicate with your colleague Planner to manage the shipment schedule and prepare billing to customers based on the order and/or usage. You control the inbound and outbound flow of goods and ensure that shipment timing of orders is arranged to coincide with the order being completed, ensuring that commercial shipping documents are prepared correctly including invoice, AWB from the logistics partner, etc.
* Finally, you ensure invoicing is completed correctly and sent through the proper channels to make sure payment is received as per payment terms.
Profile
* You have 3-5 years of related experience in an international B2B industrial environment, preferably in shipping, logistics, or expedition within an international framework. You have knowledge of inventory control and stock management.
* Basic knowledge of export/import for incoterms and international logistics management skills are recommended. Strong communication skills both orally and written with customers and internal colleagues are important: English and Dutch, any other language is welcome.
* Experience with PC-based communications including Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SAP, plus company internally established systems.
