Could you be the full-time onsite EHS Advisor in Brugge, BE we’re looking for?
Your future role
Take on a new challenge and apply your comprehensive Environment, Health, and Safety expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside dedicated, knowledgeable, and supportive teammates. You'll ensure and provide a safe and healthy environment for our people and contractors during production and projects. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (Operations, Project Management, Engineering), minimise impacts on the environment, protect Alstom assets, and reduce risks of business interruption resulting from fire and natural catastrophes, and much more.
We’ll look to you for:
1. Support the EHS Site Manager to perform EHS Risk Assessment and to define appropriate measures to control risks.
2. Support the EHS Site Manager to prepare, implement and maintain emergency plans.
3. Assist Site EHS Manager to coordinate and control activities with respect of EHS, especially where interfaces are involved with other contractors or operation areas.
4. Recommending solutions to issues, improvement opportunities, or new prevention measures.
5. Initiating and organizing EHS training of employees and contractors.
6. Monitoring compliance to policies and laws by inspecting employees and operations.

7. Master's degree in a scientific field or equivalent through experience
8. Qualification in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety (prevention advisor level 2) or related field is desirable. If not, must be willing to follow this training during working hours.
9. Experience or understanding of production safety and project management.
10. Ability to train and influence others in safety practices.
11. Experience with EHS auditing and compliance tracking.
12. Proficiency in incident investigation and reporting.
13. Knowledge of environmental regulations and corporate EHS standards.
14. Understanding of sustainability initiatives and waste management practices.
15. Fluency in Dutch and English is required for the role
16. Competent in MS Office
