Position
We are looking for a Project Manager to take responsibility for the development of Space Flight Equipment.
The projects are usually inter-agency, and customers include the European Space Agency (ESA), the National Aeronautic and Space Administration (NASA), and the European Commission.
The Project Manager should have a strong knowledge of design and development of avionics equipment, and/or robotic or space mechanisms systems for use in space (LEO as well as deep space – in particular Lunar orbit and Lunar surface).
The position is in the Systems Department, Flight Systems Team.

Tasks and Responsibilities
* Monitor day-to-day Technical and Programmatic Management
* Lead system and software architectures definition and interfaces design
* Plan and manage project team
* Act as the main interface to customers and ensure timely follow-up of actions
* Work in close interaction with our financial and contractual department
* Interact closely with the technical domain leads (and act as technical lead, depending on projects and work scope)
* Ensure the release of project deliverables
* Produce required documentation.
Skills and Experience
* A Master's (or PhD) degree with a major in a relevant engineering topic (space, aerospace, electronics, electrical, software, mechanical)
* At least 3 years of professional experience with project management responsibilities in the space domain
* Proficiency in:
o Applying the ECSS management standard
o Technical documents production
* Ability to understand and apply demanding engineering standards
* Good understanding of:
o Space qualification process
o Product assurance implications – experience with projects implemented under ISO9100 is a plus
* Strength to cope with schedules and deadlines
* Proficiency in communication both within a team and when engaging with customers and suppliers
* Excellent written and spoken English.
