Team/division description
Toyota Motor Europe R&D Material Engineering (Anti-Corrosion) is responsible for :
1. Developing vehicles and making concept proposals for European core models
2. Reflecting EU technologies to Toyota vehicles timely by utilizing a location advantage and a strong network with European partners
3. Ensuring that Customer Expectation towards Anti-Corrosion performance are achieved
Your project
4. Development of coated corrosion-resistant coated steel part
5. Benchmark key pre-treatment, finishing and corrosion-protection methods used in Automotive and transport sectors available within Europe
6. Develop a proposal(s) on structural and/or functional components without compromising strength, weight nor anti-corrosion performance
7. Collaborate with TME Purchasing to confirm cost impact for your proposal(s)
8. Validate your proposal(s) using laboratory test methods

9. You are fluent in English (TME's business language)
10. Technical science student with background in Materials Science, Surface Engineering, Metallurgy or Automotive Engineering
11. Awareness of metals, welding and/or surface treatments
12. Laboratory and/or vehicle workshop experience
13. Interest in automotive industry and vehicle production techniques
14. Microsoft apps: office applications (Word, Powerpoint, Excel, Sharepoint, PowerBI)
15. Detail orientated
16. Holder of a driving Licence
