Robert Half Talent Solutions is currently looking for a Risk Manager (m/f/x) for a permanent position based in Brussels.
Our client is a fast growing company active in the automotive sector.
As Risk Manager (m/f/x) you will be responsible for:
Financial Risk Management:
* Lead the identification, assessment, monitoring, and mitigation of financial risks;
* Develop and implement risk management strategies to safeguard the organization's financial assets;
* Accountable for determining, evaluating, and monitoring residual values and credit risk;
* Prepare provision reports in adherence to IFRS9 standards, with meticulous monitoring of key factors such as PD, LGD, EAD, and delinquency distribution.
* Conduct validations for various models, including Scorecards, PD Model, and LGD Model;
* Produce monthly and quarterly reports for retail, wholesale, and fleet portfolios, ensuring high-quality outcomes within agreed deadlines;
* Address diverse ad-hoc requests from stakeholders, providing effective solutions and recommendations;
* Take ownership of data reconciliations between multiple systems.
Nonfinancial Risk Management:
* Manage and enhance the operational risk framework to identify and mitigate potential risks;
* Ensure efficient conduct of risk assessments related to operational processes and systems;
* Implement measures to improve operational efficiency while minimizing risk exposure;
* Oversee and coordinate the delivery of the Business Continuity Management System (BCMS) and Business Impact Analysis (BIA).
Risk Reporting:
* Organize and participate in different committees;
* Collaborate with all teams up to the Executive Management team level to achieve the highest level of risk reporting quality;
* Ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements and Volkswagen Financial Services-set guidelines.
Outsourcing Management:
* Evaluate and monitor outsourcing arrangements in accordance with regulations and guidelines;
* Collaborate with stakeholders to assess and address risks associated with outsourced functions;
* Develop and maintain strong relationships with outsourcing partners.
Training Program Oversight:
* Establish, embed, and maintain a risk-aware culture;
* Supervise the development and implementation of training programs related to risk management and outsourcing;
* Ensure employees are well-informed about risk policies and procedures.
Project Involvement:
* Actively participate in local and international projects, providing valuable insights and leading their local implementation;
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess and manage risks associated with major projects.
Team Leadership:
* Lead and motivate a team of risk professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration;
* Provide guidance and mentorship to team members, promoting their professional development.
The required profile for the Risk Manager (m/f/x) position:
* Master's degree in Finance, Risk Management, Business, or a related field;
* Proven experience in financial risk management and operational risk;
* Strong understanding of mathematical and statistical tools and the importance of adequate data;
* Understanding of outsourcing processes and associated risks;
* Strategic thinking ability;
* Excellent customer focus and problem-solving skills;
* Excellent leadership and team management skills;
* Effective communication skills in English; proficiency in French or Dutch is a major added value;
* Knowledge of relevant regulatory framework.
