Division
You will be a member of the Legal Division of Euroclear SA/NV, which is the operating holding company of the Euroclear Group.
The role
You will provide support to our Central Securities Depositories in France, Netherlands and Belgium: Euroclear France, Euroclear Belgium and Euroclear Nederland (the ESES CSDs)on a broad range of projects.
You will also provide support to the group parent companies with focus on the areas of governance, corporate law and regulatory issues.

Your responsibilities
As a Legal Advisor, your tasks will include:
1. Supporting the ESES CSDs legal team in a diverse range of projects for the ESES CSDs, such as settlement, corporate actions, collateral management or corporate law projects. You will, in close collaboration with the ESES legal team, assess legal, regulatory and contractual implications, and advise business and management.
2. Day-to-day and project legal support to the group Corporate Secretariat function on questions of corporate law and governance.
3. Supporting strategic and regulatory group projects from a governance and regulatory perspective.
4. Preparing discussions with regulators on governance and regulatory matters.
5. Assisting on other projects or matters where regulatory and governance knowledge may be required.
6. Working in a transversal manner with other teams of the legal division.
Your profile
7. You have a degree in law from a French or Belgian university and are familiar with financial market regulation.
8. You have minimum 7 years of relevant experience in capital markets or similar experience in, for example securities issuance, settlement or custody business, preferably gained in the in-house legal division of a bank, broker or other financial institution or in a law firm. Ideally, you have some experience with company law and governance.
9. You are proficient in English and French, and a good communicator both orally and in writing.
10. You have analytical skills and ability to translate a legal analysis into actionable business and corporate options.
11. You can find pragmatic solutions without neglecting risk and details.
12. You are proactive and can work autonomously.
13. You are a great teammate and truly believe in team objectives.
