At Johnson & Johnson, we all belong.The successful candidate will join the dynamic bladder oncology drug discovery team to develop innovative drugs, both biologics and small molecules. S/he will create and manage multiple complex research plans that result in the accomplishment of multiple business objectives. S/he may have indirect or direct people management responsibility. S/he would work under indirect supervision with a high level of autonomy and some decision making. S/he will drive the advancement of portfolio program(s) through the drug development pipeline to NME/IND. Highly motivated and dedicated individual with an excellent scientific track record will be organized, work well in a team setting, demonstrate leadership and be sensitive to timelines. Experience in solid tumor drug discovery is preferred. S/he will efficiently collaborate with colleagues in the oncology as well as in the chemistry and antibody development groups, and present scientific results to multidisciplinary teams.Additional responsibilities include:- Lead execution of scientific endeavors and advances scientific projects based on results.- Use emerging developments in relevant scientific fields to generate new research ideas.- Review and monitor data management process to ensure that records are properly documented and shared internally.QualificationsQualifications:- Ph.D. degree with post-doctoral experience and 7 or more years of businessexperience, or 3 or more years’ experience performing progressively advanced duties at the Senior/Principal Research Scientist level is required.- Experience in the cancer field is required. Experience in solid tumors preferred.- Drug discovery experience in a biotech or pharmaceutical environment is highly preferred.- Demonstrated competence for team leadership and/or people management is required.- Fluent in written and spoken English with excellent communication, interpersonal and collaborative skills are required.- Demonstrated record of scientific accomplishments directed toward the discovery and development of therapeutic agents is required.Johnson & Johnson is an Affirmative Action and Equal Opportunity Employer.
