Hospitality Talents, a recruitment agency specialising in hotel profiles, is currently looking for an experienced and highly motivated Chief Engineer to join the team of our client, a luxury hotel in Brussels.
We are looking for a competent and motivated individual to join our client's team as a Chief Engineer. Responsibilities:
* Oversee all hotel maintenance operations, ensuring effective and efficient operation of all engineering systems, equipment and facilities.
* Develop and implement comprehensive maintenance programs, including preventative maintenance schedules, to minimize downtime and ensure optimal performance of all equipment and systems.
* Manage the maintenance budget, forecast expenses, and implement cost-saving measures without compromising quality or customer satisfaction.
* Lead and inspire a team of skilled engineers, technicians, and maintenance personnel, fostering a culture of teamwork, professionalism, and continuous improvement.
* Collaborate with other departments, including housekeeping, front desk and food and beverage, to ensure seamless coordination of operations and promptly resolve any maintenance-related issues.
* Stay up-to-date on industry trends, advancements, and regulations related to facilities engineering and management, and implement best practices accordingly.
* Ensure compliance with all safety and environmental regulations, ensuring a safe working environment for employees and guests.
Requirements:
* French language is mandatory and good knowledge of English.
* Bachelor's degree in engineering, facilities management or a technical field.
* Proven experience in engineering and facilities management.
* Strong technical knowledge of electrical, mechanical, plumbing and HVAC systems, with the ability to troubleshoot and diagnose problems.
* Excellent leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team.
* Exceptional organizational and project management skills, with an eye for detail.
* Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact with individuals at all levels.
* Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
* Knowledge of local building codes, safety regulations and environmental standards.
