What type of breed are we looking for?
We’re on the hunt for a Senior Brand Manager who has a strong consumer mindset and is highly creative with team management skills to help take our brand to the next level in BENELUX.
What will be in your bowl?
As Senior Brand Manager BENELUX, you will be the guardian of our brand equity. Your task will be to own it, and spread it massively so we build a strong, engaged and loyal consumer base. You will be working in close partnership with the cross-functional team in Belgium and the Netherlands & across Europe.
STRATEGIC EXCELLENCE
* Develop and execute the annual brand marketing strategy for Belgium and the Netherlands by leveraging available data, insights, and analysis to boost innovative thinking and outperform competitors. Monitor performance using these data-driven insights, maintaining a results-focused approach to refine strategic thinking and adapt strategies as needed.
* Own and manage the annual brand marketing budget effectively in line with topline growth, ensuring that all activity is guided by clear measurement and ROI.
* Sniff out the way ahead. You know your market and consumers inside out, you are the brand eyes in the market, building recommendations to influence NPD, retailer and media strategies, and deliver best in class launches with 360 campaigns that have tangible impact.
FLAWLESS ACTIVATION
* Lead and collaborate on the BENELUX COMMs plan - including ATL (TV, OLV), Social Performance Marketing and Influencers. Make confident recommendations and amends to global assets, being creative in bringing the brand to life through the full mix of channels.
* As a Senior Brand Manager responsible for TV planning and media buying, you should have a strategic mindset to develop and execute impactful TV campaigns both in BE and NL that align with the brand's objectives and maximize reach and effectiveness. You should possess strong analytical skills to optimize media spending, manage agencies, and ensure that campaigns deliver on KPIs, driving both brand awareness and business results. Additionally, effective cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder management are key to seamlessly integrating TV initiatives within the broader marketing strategy.
* Develop and implement disruptive, creative activation plans that build awareness, engagement & long-term loyalty for Edgard & Cooper. Key tactics are:
o Star endorsers: Screen and maintain relationships with our ‘Star Endorsers’, who are influential individuals or big-name influencers that align with our brand values and serve as long-term ambassadors. The role involves identifying and recruiting potential endorsers based on their influence, audience demographics, and engagement, then building and nurturing strong partnerships to ensure they feel valued and aligned with our brand objectives. Collaborate closely with endorsers on content planning to create authentic, impactful content, including organizing in-house video shoots to produce high-quality materials. Negotiate contracts that outline clear deliverables, timelines, compensation, and exclusivity terms, while managing and owning the budget dedicated to these partnerships. Work in alignment with the Performance Team to boost their content through paid media strategies, ensuring maximum ROI.
o Content creators: We also collaborate with what we call ‘Content Creators’, smaller-scale influencers who promote our brand either continuously or during specific campaigns, with the primary goal of acquiring new customers. This involves negotiating and finalizing contracts with them, offering compensation that could include cash or product gifting.
o Your objective is to achieve the monthly New Customer target for the BENELUX region by leveraging contributions from both Star Endorsers and Content Creators. Success requires maintaining the ideal balance between the quantitative reach and the qualitative impact of these collaborations.
* Leverage all touchpoints at your disposal – online & offline – to create cohesive and truly brand-focused activation that will lead to increased brand awareness in both countries.
* Implement and deliver flawless brand reporting to Global Marketing Operations Lead to ensure clarity of focus and development of a results-driven Marketing culture.
DIGITAL MINDSET
* Work closely with the Performance Marketing Managers/Growth Marketeers to help drive the BENELUX direct to consumer strategy and play an integral role in helping to build success in this channel.
* Collaborate with the Global brand BPI team to help ensure development of fit for purpose content & creative to help fuel our performance marketing efforts.
PASSIONATE ABOUT PEOPLE
* Manage fully the Brand Marketing intern and create a highly creative, driven and passionate team together.
* Build close collaboration with the Digital, Brand/Product, Sales and Trade & Shopper teams for maximum market impact.
You’ll be primarily based at our headquarters in Kortrijk, with the expectation to spend at least 3-4 days each month working from our Rotterdam office.
What skills & tricks should you bring?
* A minimum of 5 to 7 years’ marketing experience within an FMCG environment. Having specific Brand Management experience is a must. Having specific experience in TV planning and media buying is a plus.
* The desire to make the next step and join an entrepreneurial, fast-paced environment.
* Highly creative, with the ability to deliver disruptive, industry-leading marketing strategies.
* Strong understanding of the full media mix with excellent digital skillset.
o Local nuance: you know the Belgian and the Dutch media landscape.
* An analytical strategic thinker with flexibility to adapt to changing situations in a rapidly growing business.
* Hold a master's or degree level qualification.
* Fluency in Dutch and English is essential, and proficiency in French is a significant advantage.
* An ethical approach in all you do - you align with our values. Oh and you love pets, of course!
